April 7-8 2021 was Yom Hashoah, a day to remember and honor the over 6 million lives that were lost during the Holocaust. URI Hillel has been working with student leaders this semester to put together a virtual adaptation of our annual Yom Hashoah Memorial Service that we put on for the campus community. We know that it is critically important to continue to educate our communities about the events of the Holocaust so that we can stand against antisemitism and xenophobia whenever it arises. We are so grateful to our students and campus partners for helping us create this Virtual Memorial Service during this time when we cannot be together physically.
