Occupation: Physician How would you describe yourself in 3 words? Curious, caring, eclectic In what ways are you available to help students? Career planning and development; Time management; Work-life balance; Mindfulness practice; Getting to know the greater Jewish community and generally selling Rhode Island as a great place to live. Brief Bio and Fun Fact: I grew up in Providence, RI and graduated from URI with a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature. While at URI, I designed my own independent study abroad program in Argentina and Chile, competed on the varsity tennis and club ski teams, and worked in the Academic Enhancement Center. I went on to medical school in Philadelphia and completed residencies in Salt Lake City and Seattle. I returned to Rhode Island to start my career as an anesthesiologist and to raise my daughter close to family and within the nurturing Jewish community in Providence. I have continued to develop my Jewish life and identity by participating in the Jewish Alliance's Leadership Development Program, becoming a founding member of the Community Hevra Kadisha of RI, taking Yiddish language courses, and enrolling my daughter at JCDSRI. In my free time, I love designing and tending my native plant garden as well as playing classical music in the Providence Community String Orchestra. |
