Hillel Interns
Front Desk Interns
Hillel hires several paid student interns each year to staff the front desk and assist with specific duties such as communications and social media, kitchen management, data entry and record keeping and programming. Each intern works 6-10 hours each week. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, organized and reliable. Students eligible for Federal Work Study are strongly encouraged to apply.

Communication Interns
Hillel’s Communications Interns work independently and in a team to fully create, manage, and control URI Hillel’s presence on social media platforms. Their roles include creating graphics and advertisements for Hillel programs and initiatives, creating and maintaining the schedule of posts across social media platforms and updating Hillel’s website with current events, relevant news, blogposts etc., brainstorming and implementing social media campaigns, and strategizing ways to connect with Jewish Students online.

Kitchen Staff
Kitchen Staff are the students who work to create the menus and shopping lists for Hillel programs with food and cook the food for these programs. The Kitchen Staff also build relationships with students interested in cooking and find and create opportunities to bring these students into the kitchen to cook.
The hiring of kitchen staff is on hold until we have a clearer picture of what COVID 19 precautions will necessitate in the Fall.
Engagement Interns
Hillel's Student Engagement Interns concentrate on meeting and developing relationships with students outside of the Hillel building to connect them to resources, friends and Jewish life. Hillel is currently looking for outgoing and self motivated student leaders to be Engagement Interns for the 2020-2021 school year.
Interns will be able to develop community building and organizing skills and gain professional development and work experience .

Birthright Israel Recruiters
Birthright Recruiters work to promote Hillel Birthright Israel Trips, register and sign people up for Hillel Birthright Israel Trips, plan and participate in Birthright Israel promotional events, programs, and initiatives, and build relationships with students interested in Birthright Israel trips.
Ideal candidates are past Birthright participants who are personable, outgoing, like to meet new people, and have networks throughout campus. Interested students should email a letter of interest, resume to Michael.
Ruderman Inclusion Ambassadors
Hillel's Ruderman Inclusion Ambassadors bring an inclusion informed lens to Hillel with the goal of positively influencing Hillel to be even more inclusive of individuals with disabilities.
